Programme outside U.S.A.
The National Academy of Engineering (NAE), convened a committee of leading technical thinkers to create a list of the grand challenges and opportunities for engineering facing those born at the dawn of this new century.
Founded in 1964, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) is a private, independent, non-profit institution that provides engineering leadership in service to the nation (U.S.A).
19 U.S. engineering schools and 1 non-U.S. Engineering school, namely, Taylor's School of Engineering announced plans to educate a new generation of engineers expressly equipped to tackle some of the most pressing issues facing society in the century.
This is done through the Grand Challenges Scholars Programme.
